Archive: Warren Dunes State Park & Lake Michigan

Every year that we go to our family reunion we stop at Warren Dunes State Park. Just inside the Michigan border. You are looking at Tower Hill. Notice how tiny the people are that are climbing.

Almost at the top. The sand was swept off the floor of Lake Michigan and blown in drifts all along the western edge of the lake. We like Sleeping Bear Dunes for sheer magnitude and beauty. These dunes are more handy as we have stopped many times.

Running the dune with the lake and Chicago stretched before.
